Subject: Circular No. 2 of 2024 On the Regulation of Telemarketing
The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) extends its sincere appreciation, and would like to inform you of the issuance of Cabinet Decision No. 56 of 2024 on the Regulation of Telemarketing, which sets the general provisions that persons and companies must comply with when marketing, advertising or promoting products and services through telephone calls, including text messages and social media applications. Since the above decision has entrusted the SCA with all matters related to marketing phone calls for financial services regulated by the SCA, and has also entrusted the SCA with setting some detailed provisions without prejudice to the general provisions, the SCA calls upon all companies to fully comply with the above-mentioned Cabinet Decision, in addition to adhering to the following:
