Federal Transport Authority Circular No. 10 of 2019 Banning MT/ SEA TOPAZ 1 and Her Crew From Operating in UAE Waters

The FTA has decided to ban the oil tanker (SEA TOPAZ 1) from working in UAE waters and ports for one year, in addition to ban the Master and the Chief Engineer of the vessel from working in any ship calling UAE ports or anchoring in UAE waters for one year, due to violating the UAE enforced legislations related to International Maritime Instruments, by failing to provide the required cooperation and information during the maritime accident investigation onboard the vessel.

The ship was involved in fire accident on the 22/10/2019, while she was at anchor in UAE waters due to major negligence onboard which could have endanger safety of lives, navigation and environment in UAE waters.
