Within the framework of the administrative role, Federal Maritime Administration (FMA) of United Arab Emirates represented by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, responsible for ensuring that all yachts operating in UAE Waters are complying with the UAE Maritime law, rules, regulations and circulars, in respect to safe and legal maritime operations in UAE waters and ports, has established that the yacht Babylon has violated the conditions of the UAE cruising permit as described below:
1. Violating of the UAE Ministerial Decision No. 70 of the year 2018 regarding the issuance of cruising permits for visiting foreign yachts, and Violation of Circular No. 13 of the year 2018 regarding permission for visiting foreign yachts, which stipulates that the visiting yacht intended to stay in UAE waters are allowed to operate for personal leisure only and not to be operated for commercial purposes.
