The Cabinet,
- Having reviewed the Constitution; and
- Federal Law 1 of 1972, Concerning the Competences of Ministries and Capacities of Ministers, and its amendments thereof; and
- Federal Law No. 20 of 1991, Promulgating the Civil Aviation Law; and
- Federal Law No. 4 of 1996, Concerning the General Civil Aviation Authority, and its amendments thereof; and
- Based upon the proposal submitted by the Chairman of the General Civil Aviation Authority, and the Cabinet’s approval,
Resolved:
In implementing the provisions of this Decision, the following terms and phrases shall have the meanings assigned next to each, unless the context requires otherwise:
State: United Arab Emirates.
ICAO: International Civil Aviation Organization.
Competent Authority: General Civil Aviation Authority.
Concerned Authority: Local authority concerned with civil aviation affairs in the concerned emirate.
Aviation Operator Certificate: Certificate granted to airlines in accordance with the procedures followed by the Competent Authority.
