Cabinet Decision No. 8 of 2023 Extending the Period for Status Regulation for those Subjected to the Provisions of Federal Decree-Law No. 46 of 2021 Concerning Electronic Transactions and Trust Services

The Cabinet:

- Having reviewed the Constitution; and

- Federal Law No. 1 of 1972, Concerning the Competences of Ministries and the Capacities of Ministers and its amendments thereof; and

- Federal Decree-Law No. 46 of 2021, Concerning Electronic Transactions and Trust Services; and

- Based upon the proposal submitted by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, and the Cabinet's Approval,

Decided:

Article 1

The period for status regulation, stipulated in Article 50 of Federal Decree-Law No. 46 of 2021 Concerning Electronic Transactions and Trust Services, shall be extended for an additional year beginning from 02 January 2023.

Article 2

The Chairman of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority shall implement this Decision, and it shall be published in the Official Gazette.
