- After reviewing the Constitution;
- Federal Decree-Law No. 57 of 2022 Establishing the UAE Media Council;
- Federal Decree-Law No. 55 of 2023 on Media Regulation;
- Based on the presentation of the Chairman of the UAE Media Council and the approval of the Cabinet.
Has decided:
The definitions provided in Federal Decree-Law No. 55 of 2023 on Media Regulation shall apply to this Decision, and otherwise, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings indicated next to each of them, unless the context requires otherwise:
Decree-Law: Federal Decree-Law No. 55 of 2023 on Media Regulation.
Foreign Media Offices: Institutions or bodies operating in the State under official licences granted by the competent authority. They represent foreign media outlets within the State in accordance with the relevant laws and legislations.
