The Cabinet,
- Having reviewed the Constitution; and
- the Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2020, Concerning Standards and Metrology; and
- Based upon the proposal submitted by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and the Cabinet’s approval, decided:
The Regulation on Technical Requirements for Electric Cars (UAE.S 2698:2024) shall be deemed a mandatory technical standard in the United Arab Emirates.
This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force (365) days as of its date of publication.
