Cabinet Decision No. 49 of 2018 Concerning Mandatory Standard Specifications Applicable in the United Arab Emirates

Cabinet:

- After reviewing the Constitution;

- Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 On the Competences of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers, and its amendments;

- Federal Law No. 28 of 2001 On the Establishment of the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology (ESMA), and its amendments;

- and upon the approval of the Cabinet

has decided:

Article 1 - Considering the Three (3) Updated Standards for the Food Sector as Mandatory Standard Specifications

After the three (3) updated standards for the food sector, whose numbers, titles and types are shown in Table No. 1 attached to this Decision, are Mandatory Standard Specifications for application in the United Arab Emirates.

Article 2 - Adoption of Amendments and Corrections to the 3 Mandatory Standard Specifications for the Food Sector

The amendments and corrections to the three (3) Mandatory Standard Specifications for the food sector, whose numbers, titles and types are shown in Table No. 2 attached to this Decision, shall be adopted.
