Cabinet Decision No. 42 of 2025 On the Regulation of Administrative Violations and Penalties for Acts Committed in Violation of the Provisions of Federal Decree-Law No. 55 of 2023 On Media Regulation and its Executive Regulations

The Cabinet:

- After reviewing the Constitution,

- Federal Law No. 14 of 2016 On Administrative Violations and Penalties in the Federal Government;

- Federal Decree-Law No. 57 of 2022 Establishing the UAE Media Council;

- Federal Decree-Law No. 55 of 2023 On Media Regulation;

- Cabinet Decision No. 68 of 2024 on the Executive Regulations of Federal Decree-Law No. 55 of 2023 On Media Regulation;

- Based on the presentation of the Chairman of the UAE Media Council and the approval of the Cabinet

has decided:

Article 1 - Definitions

The definitions provided in Federal Decree-Law No. 55 of 2023 On Media Regulation shall apply to this Decision, and otherwise, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings indicated next to each of them, unless the context requires otherwise:

State: United Arab Emirates.

Council: UAE Media Council.

Chairman: Chairman of the Board of Directors.
