The Cabinet, Having reviewed:
- The Constitution; and
- Federal Law No. 1 of 1972, Concerning the Competences of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers, as amended; and
- Federal Law No. 10 of 2018, Concerning Product Safety; and
- Federal Decree-Law No. 17 of 2020, Amending and Repealing Repeal certain Federal Laws; and
- Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2020, Concerning Standards and Metrology; and
- Cabinet Decision No. 35 of 2015, Concerning the UAE Regulations of the Control on Conformity Assessment Bodies; and
- Based on the Proposal of the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and the Cabinet's approval thereof, Hereby resolves as follows:
The Definitions set out in Federal Law No. 10 of 2018, referred to hereinabove, shall apply hereto; otherwise, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings assigned thereto respectively, unless the context requires otherwise:
Ministry: The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.
