The Cabinet, having reviewed the Constitution

Federal Decree-Law No. 11 of 2017 on Granting the the Cabinet Certain Powers,

Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 regulating Labor Relations, and its amendments,

Federal Decree-Law No. 49 of 2022 on Human Resources in the Federal Government,

Cabinet Decision No. 27 of 2019 on Public Holidays in the State.

- Pursuant to the approval of the the Cabinet

has decided

 

Article 1 – Public holidays

The official holidays of the public and private sectors in the State are as follows:

(*) If the holy month of Ramadan completes 30 days, the 30th day of Ramadan shall be an official holiday in addition to the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.

 

Muslim holidays are celebrated according to the Hijri calendar, secular holidays according to the Gregorian calendar.

 

Article 2 – Carrying forward public holidays

With the exception of Eid holidays, any of the public holidays mentioned in Article 1 of this Decision may be carried forward by a decision of the the Cabinet to the beginning or end of the week.
