The Cabinet,
- Having reviewed the Constitution,
- Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 on the powers of ministries and the powers of ministers, and its amendments,
- Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2022 regulating the Profession of notary,
- Pursuant to the approval of the Minister of Justice and the approval of the Cabinet,
has decided:
Words and expressions in this Decision shall have the same meanings specified in the Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2022 referred to above, and the following words and expressions shall have the meanings assigned against each, unless the context requires otherwise:
Occupation: the profession of notary, whether practiced by the public notary or the private notary.
Office: the office licensed by the Competent Licensing Authority and the Ministry to practice the profession in the State.
Competent Licensing Authority: the local authority or the free zone authority responsible for issuing the professional license for the office, as the case may be.
