Based on the customs agreement on international transport under TIR convention, and under the provisions of the GCC Common Customs Law and its executive regulation, as per the Unified Customs Procedures Guide of the GCC states, the following procedures, measures and controls apply.

 

Article 1 - Definitions

Vehicle's Approval Certificate: certificate issued by Federal Customs Authority (FCA) for vehicles for the transport of goods holding TIR carnet.
The guaranteeing authority: Emirates Automobiles & Touring Club

 

Article 2 - Controls

1. The TIR carnet is valid for one trip only and consists of a sufficient number of cut-off vouchers, taking into account the provisions of Article 17 paragraph 2 of the TIR convention.

 

2. The original TIR carnet shall be invalid in the event that:

- It is not signed and stamped by the guaranteeing authority that issued the TIR carnet.

- The validity date indicated on the cover of the TIR carnet is expired.
