Dubai Land Department (DLD) has announced the results of inspections of brokers, companies and real estate projects for the first half of 2024. The inspections are part of the regular monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory standards in the real estate sector.
DLD inspectors conducted 450 field inspections and reviewed 1,530 related advertisements. As a result, 1,200 legal warnings were issued and 256 brokers were fined.
DLD inspections focus on compliance with the terms and conditions of the adverts, including the presence of a QR code with property details. The code allows verification of the authenticity and accuracy of the advertisement, as well as the property's condition and characteristics.
Additionally, new rules apply to advertising properties under construction (off-plan): brokers must advertise the entire property, not individual parts of it.
