Sick leave regulations in the DIFC differ from general UAE regulations. They detail the number of days an employee can take for a sick leave, how these days are compensated, what documents must be provided and in what cases the employer has the right to terminate employment. DIFC Law No. 2 of 2019 is the core law governing sick leave regulations in the DIFC.
