Cabinet Decision No. 141 of 2026 Regarding the Executive Regulations of Federal Decree-Law No. 5 of 2018 on Waqf

The Cabinet:

• having reviewed the Constitution،
• and Federal Decree-Law No. (1) of 1972 concerning the remit of Ministries and the powers of Ministers, as amended,
• and Federal Decree-Law No. (5) of 2018 on waqf,
• and Federal Decree-Law No. (2) of 2024 concerning the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat,
• Based on the proposal put forward by the Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, and with the approval of The Cabinet,

Has decided:

Definitions

The definitions set out in Federal Decree-Law No. (5) of 2018 on Waqf shall apply to this Decision; otherwise, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings set out opposite each of them, unless the context otherwise requires:

The Act: Federal Decree-Law No. (5) of 2018 on Waqf. Competent court: the federal or local court with jurisdiction to hear matters relating to waqf, or to establish it or any amendment thereto, in accordance with the legislation in force.
