We, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Ruler of Dubai
- Having reviewed Federal Law No. 3 of 1987 enacting the Penal Code and itjs amendments;
- Dubai Law No. 18 of 2006 concerning the Management and Auditing of Public Funds of the Government of Dubai;
- Dubai Law No. 13 of 2005 concerning Security Service Providers and the Security of Critical Commercial Sectors and its Executive Regulations;
- and the Police Law of 1966,
have decided the following:
This Law shall be known as “Dubai Law on Security Service Providers and Their Employees No. 24 of 2008”.
The following words and expressions, wherever they appear in this Law, shall have the meanings set out opposite each of them, unless the context requires otherwise:
Emirate: the Emirate of Dubai.
Police: Dubai Police.
Commander: the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.
Competent Authority: the Security Systems Department of Dubai Police.
Security Service Provider: a natural or legal person who provides Security Services to individuals or to governmental or non-governmental organisations.
