Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology:
- Having reviewed Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 on the Competencies of ministries and the Powers of ministers, as amended;
- Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2020 on Standards and Metrology;
- and based on the recommendation of the Standards and Metrology Steering Committee at its meeting No. 2 of 2025;
- and in the public interest,
have decreed the following:
To adopt 199 Gulf standards as UAE standards in a number of sectors, in accordance with the titles and numbers set out in Appendix No. 1 attached to this Decision.
To approve the withdrawal of standard No. (UAE.S 650:1853-2008) ‘Small plastic containers for conditioning and testing using aqueous solutions to maintain a constant relative humidity value’, and to replace it with the approved standard No. (UAES (GSO 483: 2015)
This Decision shall be published in the Official Gazette and come into force on the day following the date of its publication.
