The Cabinet:
- Having reviewed the Constitution;
- Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and the Powers of Ministers, and the laws amending it;
- Federal Law No. 28 of 2001 establishing the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology, and the laws amending it;
- and based on the approval of the Cabinet,
has decided:
Emirati Standard No. (501032013 .UAE) on “Energy Efficiency Labelling of Electrical Appliances – Part 3: Domestic Refrigeration Appliances” shall be applied as a mandatory standard in the United Arab Emirates.
The relevant authorities shall implement this decision, which shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force 180 days after the day following the date of its publication.
