The Cabinet:
- Having regard to the Constitution;
- Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2020 on Standards and Metrology;
- Cabinet Decision No. 64 of 2022 regarding the National Measurement System;
- Cabinet Decision No. 85 of 2023 regarding the Technical Regulations for Legal Units of Measurement;
- and based on the proposal of the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and with the approval of the Cabinet,
has decided:
For the purposes of this Decision, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings set out opposite each, unless the context requires otherwise:
State: United Arab Emirates.
Ministry: Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.
Minister: Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology.
Authorised Body: Any government body, whether federal, local or private, officially authorised by the Ministry to carry out any of its duties and powers as set out in the provisions of this Decision.
