We, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince, Chairman of the Executive Council,
Having reviewed:
- Abu Dhabi Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning the Reorganisation of the Governmental Body in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments;
- Abu Dhabi Law No. 20 of 2006 concerning Tenancy of Places and Organisation of Landlord-Tenant Relation in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its amendments;
- Abu Dhabi Chairman of the Executive Council Decision No. 25 of 2011 concerning the Tenancy Agreements of Places; and
- Based on what was presented to and approved by the Executive Council;
Issued the following Decision:
The time limit set forth in paragraph 4, Article 20 of the above-mentioned Abu Dhabi Law No. 20 of 2006 shall be extended to the 9th of November 2013.
The annual increase on rent specified in the contract, and which is stated in Article 16 of the said Abu Dhabi Law No. 20 of 2006, shall not exceed five percent (5% ), provided that the estimated rental value as of the 10th of November 2013 shall be determined according to the will of the contracting parties.
