Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology:
- Having reviewed Federal Law No. 1 of 1972 on the Competencies of Ministries and the Powers Ministers and its amendments;
- Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2020 on Specifications and Standards;
- Cabinet Decision No. 20 of 2015 regarding the UAE Food Contact Materials Control System
- and in the public interest,
have decided the following:
The provisions of this Decision shall apply to single-use and recycled food contact plastic products of the types (PE, PP, PS) and other recycled plastic materials.
Recycled plastic products intended for food contact of the types mentioned in Article 1 of this Decision must meet all the safety and quality requirements set out in the aforementioned Cabinet Decision No. 20 of 2015.
