Ministerial Decision No. 24 of 2021 Regarding the update to the date used to calculate the age of admission for pupils in state and private schools

Minister of Education

• Having examined Federal Decree-Law No. (1) of 1972 concerning the powers of Ministries and Ministers, as amended
• and Federal Decree-Law No. (29) of 2006 concerning the rights of persons with disabilities, as amended by Law No. (14) of 2009.
• Pursuant to Federal Decree-Law No. (15) of 2016 establishing the Emirates School Education Foundation.
• and Federal Decree-Law No. (3) of 2016 on the Rights of the Child (Wadi’ma).
• Pursuant to Federal Decree-Law No. (18) of 2020 on special education
• And Cabinet Decision No. (24) of 2001 concerning the regulation of the admission of expatriates’ children to the various stages of education, as amended.
• And in accordance with Cabinet Decision No. (1/185) of 2001 concerning the approval of the reorganisation of primary and lower secondary education and the duration of compulsory schooling.
• And in accordance with Cabinet Decision No. (30/486) of 2001 concerning the regulation of the admission of expatriates’ children to state schools.
