We, Saud bin Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah
having reviewed the Constitution،
Pursuant to Federal Decree-Law No. (5) of 2019 concerning the establishment of the Federal Centre for Geospatial Information, Pursuant to the Ras Al Khaimah Municipal Law of 1981,
and in accordance with Amiri Decree No. (2) of 2004 concerning the establishment of the Planning and Surveying Department.
Following approval by the Executive Council.
We have enacted the following Act:
For the purposes of this Act, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings set out opposite each of them, unless the context otherwise requires.
State: United Arab Emirates.
Emirate: Ras al-Khaimah.
District: Ras al-Khaimah Municipal District.
Centre: The Department’s Geographical Information Systems Centre.
Relevant authorities: Government Entities responsible for the creation, storage, use, development, exchange, distribution and dissemination of geographic information.
