Having examined Federal Decree-Law No. (1) of 1972 concerning the powers and functions of Ministries and Ministers, and the laws amending it,
and Federal Decree-Law No. (23) of 1999 concerning the utilisation, protection and development of aquatic living resources in the United Arab Emirates and its Executive regulations,
Pursuant to Cabinet Decision No. (21) of 2009 regarding the organisational structure of the Ministry of Environment and Water and its amendments, and in line with the Ministry’s commitment to achieving its strategic objectives regarding the protection and development of living aquatic resources through the regulation of fish stock exploitation and the setting of fishing effort limits,

Has decided:

The issuing of licences for new fishing boats has been temporarily suspended.
Article 2
