Cabinet Decision No. 157 of 2025 Regarding the technical regulations on energy efficiency requirements for air-conditioning units Small and large capacity

The Cabinet:

• having reviewed the Constitution،
• Pursuant to Federal Decree-Law No. (20) of 2020 on specifications and standards,
• Pursuant to Cabinet Decision No. (3) of 2020 concerning the mandatory application of standard specifications for the electricity sector in the United Arab Emirates,
• Following the proposal put forward by the Minister for Industry and Advanced Technology, and with the approval of The Cabinet, Has decided:

Article (1)

The technical regulations governing energy efficiency requirements for air conditioners of both small and large capacities, the numbers and titles of which are set out in the Register annexed to this Decision, are mandatory technical regulations applicable in the United Arab Emirates.

Article (2)

All relevant bodies in existence at the time this Decision comes into force must bring their affairs into compliance with its provisions within (365) three hundred and sixty-five days from the date it comes into force.
