Federal Law No. 6 of 2025 Regarding veterinary quarantine

The President of the United Arab Emirates,

We are Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

• having reviewed the Constitution،
• and Federal Decree-Law No. (1) of 1972 concerning the remit of Ministries and the powers of Ministers, as amended,
• and Federal Decree-Law No. 6 of 1979 on veterinary quarantine, as amended,
• Based on the proposal put forward by the Minister of Climate Change and the Environment, and with the approval of The Cabinet and the Federal National Council, and the ratification by the Federal Supreme Council,

We have enacted the following Act:

Article (1)

Definitions

For the purposes of this Act, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings set out opposite each of them, unless the context otherwise requires:

Animal products : Products of animal origin, whether intended for human consumption, for production purposes or for scientific purposes, which may transmit infectious and epidemic animal diseases, including red and white meat, raw or unprocessed fish, hatching eggs, semen, ova, embryos and animal gelatine.
