Cabinet Decision No. 61 of 2021 Regarding the conditions and regulations governing the provision of housing assistance

The Cabinet:

• having reviewed the Constitution،
• and Federal Decree-Law No. (1) of 1972 concerning the remit of Ministries and the powers of Ministers, as amended.
• Following the proposal put forward by the Minister for Energy and Infrastructure, and with the approval of The Cabinet,

Definitions

For the purposes of implementing the provisions of this Decision, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings set out opposite each of them, unless the context otherwise requires:

Public housing: Property owned by the Ministry and allocated to those entitled to it for the purpose of providing accommodation without the right of ownership. Housing loan: a repayable financial grant used to purchase a council flat. Grant: Non-repayable financial assistance allocated to meet a housing-related need, up to the amount specified in this Decision.
