Ministerial Decision No. 768 of 2014 On the regulation of the import and distribution of organic food inputs and products

Having regard to Federal Decree-Law No. (1) of 1972 concerning the powers and functions of Ministries and Ministers, and the laws amending it,

and Federal Decree-Law No. (5) of 2009 concerning organic inputs and products and its Executive regulations,

And pursuant to Cabinet Decision No. (21) of 2009 concerning the organisational structure of the Ministry of Environment and Water and its amendments,

and Ministerial Decision No. (103) of 2012 concerning the adoption of the ‘Organic’ trademark for organic inputs and products.

Pursuant to Decision No. (6) of 2012 of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology, concerning the adoption of the UAE certification scheme for organic food inputs and products,

In accordance with the requirements of the public interest.

The production, import and distribution of organic food inputs and products are permitted in the following cases:

1. If it bears the national label (Certified, Organic).
