Having examined Federal Decree-Law No. (1) of 1972 concerning the powers and functions of Ministries and Ministers, and the laws amending it,
and Federal Decree-Law No. (5) of 1979 concerning agricultural quarantine and its amendments,
and Federal Decree-Law No. (6) of 1979 concerning veterinary quarantine and its amendments,
And pursuant to Cabinet Decision No. (21) of 2009 concerning the organisational structure of the Ministry of Environment and Water and its amendments,
In the public interest, and in view of the need to establish the regulatory and health standards required for the transport of food, in order to achieve the Ministry’s strategic objectives regarding its contribution to enhancing food security,
Has decided:
To adopt a guide entitled “The Standard Guide to Food Transport”, annexed to this Decision, which sets out the procedures relating to the proper transport of food with a view to preserving it and ensuring that safe and wholesome food reaches the consumer.
