• Having reviewed Federal Decree-Law No. (3) of 2003 concerning the regulation of the telecommunications sector and its amendments,
• Federal Decree-Law No. (29) of 2006 concerning the rights of people of determination (people with disabilities), as amended by Federal Decree-Law No. (14) of 2009
• The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Optional Protocol thereto, and Federal Decree No. 116 of 2010 concerning the State’s ratification of the Convention

Article 1 - Definitions

For the purposes of these instructions, the words and phrases set out below shall have the meanings indicated opposite them, unless the context otherwise requires.

State: United Arab Emirates.

The Authority: The General Authority for Telecommunications Regulation.

Licencees: Legal entities granted licences by the Authority to carry out any of the regulated activities in accordance with the provisions of Federal Decree-Law (3) of 2003 on the regulation of the telecommunications sector, as amended.
