Having regard to Federal Decree-Law No. 1 of 1972 concerning the powers and functions of Ministries and Ministers, and the laws amending it,

and Federal Decree-Law No. (6) of 1979 concerning veterinary quarantine and its amendments,

and Federal Decree-Law No. (10) of 2002 concerning the practice of veterinary medicine,

Pursuant to Cabinet Decision No. (5) of 2006 regarding the delegation of certain ministerial duties to us,

Pursuant to Ministerial Decision No. (170) of 2003, promulgating the Executive regulations for Federal Decree-Law No. (10) of 2002 concerning the practice of veterinary medicine,

Article 1 - Requirements for practising a profession ancillary to veterinary medicine

1 – Assistant Veterinary Surgeon:

A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine and Surgery from a recognised university in the State, with at least two years’ experience; citizens of the United Arab Emirates are exempt from this experience requirement.
