Ministerial Decision No. 322 of 2018 Regarding the regulation of imports of families of the autumn armyworm from States where the pest has been registered (Spodoptera frugiperda: Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)

Minister for Climate Change and the Environment:

Having examined Federal Decree-Law No. (1) of 1972 concerning the remit of Ministries and the powers of Ministers, and its amendments.

and Federal Decree-Law No. (5) of 1979 concerning agricultural quarantine and its amendments.

and Ministerial Decision No. (248) of 2003 concerning the Executive regulations of the Agricultural Quarantine Law (Regulation) of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) States.

Pursuant to Ministerial Decision No. (824) of 2015 concerning the Annex on Quarantine Pests and Non-Quarantine Pests subject to regulations, and in the public interest.

Has decided

Article 1

1. The import of families of the autumn thrips pest from cut flowers and plants listed in (Annex 1) attached to this Decision is permitted from States where the pest has been recorded (as set out in Annex 4 attached to this Decision) in accordance with the following measures:
