We, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai
Having examined Law No. (17) of 2022 concerning the Endowments Authority and the Administration of Minors’ Assets in Dubai,
We hereby enact the following Act:
The substituted article
Article (1)
The text of Article (21) of the aforementioned Law No. (17) of 2022 shall be replaced by the following:
The Foundation’s remit regarding the assets of minors and those treated as such
Article (21)
The Foundation shall be deemed, within the limits of this Law, the Personal Status Law, the provisions of Islamic Sharia and any other relevant legislation, The competent Government Entity in all matters relating to the guardianship of minors’ assets, the custody of minors, and the judicial agency over the assets of those deemed to be minors; to this end, it shall have the following duties and powers:
Legal guardianship over the assets of minors who are citizens of the Emirate and who have neither a guardian nor a trustee.
