Fujairah Circular No. 1 of 2012 Regarding the ‘Keep Your Wall Clean’ campaign

• Having examined Local Law No. (1) of 1969 concerning the establishment of the Municipality of Fujairah.
• and Federal Decree-Law No. (24) of 1999 on the protection and development of the environment.
• This coincides with the campaign launched by the Public Health Part, ‘Keep Your Wall Clean’, to maintain the emirate’s civilised appearance and for the public good.

1. It is strictly forbidden to write phrases or draw pictures on the walls of public and private buildings with the intention of spoiling the general appearance of the emirate.
2. All business owners in the emirate must clean and remove graffiti and drawings from the walls of their premises.
3. The relevant authorities in the administrative districts under the jurisdiction of Fujairah Municipality shall monitor the implementation of this Decision and issue notices requiring the removal of graffiti and slogans from walls.
4. In the event of a breach of the above provisions or failure to comply with notifications issued by the relevant authorities, administrative and legal sanctions...
