For the purposes of implementing the provisions of this Decree, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings set out opposite each of them, unless The context of the text suggests otherwise:— Emirate: Emirate of Sharjah. The Ruler: the ruler of the emirate. The Council: The Executive Council of the Emirate. The Authority: The Emirate’s Trade and Tourism Development Authority. Chair: Chair of the Authority
