With a view to promoting trade through the ports of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, meeting the growing needs of the commercial, shipping and customs clearance sectors, and facilitating the movement of consolidated consignments between customs departments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, taking into account the Unified Customs Law of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), its Executive regulations and the customs procedures in force, we have decided the following:
The provisions of this policy shall apply to consolidated consignments that are transported through customs zones in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi only.
Shipments are transferred on the basis of an electronic request submitted by the freight forwarder (a request for the transfer of consolidated shipments within the customs districts of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi), which includes the basic shipment details as per the waybill and the bill of lading.
