Having examined Federal Decree-Law No. (1) of 1972 concerning the remit of Ministries and the powers of Ministers, and the laws amending it,
and Federal Decree-Law No. (41) of 1992 concerning agricultural pesticides and its Executive regulations,
and Federal Decree-Law No. (24) of 1999 on the protection and development of the environment and water resources, as amended,
and Federal Decree-Law No. (5) of 2009 concerning organic inputs and products and its Executive regulations,
And pursuant to Cabinet Decision No. (27) of 2013 concerning the organisational structure of the Ministry of Environment and Water,
In the public interest,
No pesticide may be marketed in the State unless it has been registered with the Ministry; nor may any pesticide that is prohibited in the State, or that is subsequently banned, be registered or imported.
An establishment is not entitled to register a pesticide unless it holds a licence from the Ministry authorising it to carry out this activity.
