Pursuant to the recommendations of the Executive Council No. (1) dated 17 January 2013,
In accordance with the requirements of the public interest, and given the need to establish the necessary regulatory and health standards for the handling of salted fish and to bring the conditions of salted fish handling facilities into line with these standards, in order to achieve the Ministry’s strategic objectives regarding its contribution to enhancing food security by drawing up appropriate legislation, regulations, systems and procedures to ensure food safety in local markets.
