According to Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection (as amended on 08.08.2023), consumer is defined as “every physical or juristic person who obtains a Good or Service - with or without charge - to satisfy his personal needs or the needs of others, or for which transactions or contracts are concluded therewith.” Thus, consumer protection law in the UAE covers both B2C and B2B sectors.
